Group Badr : L9lob A3mat - Ecouter et Telecharger music mp3 2011

A beautiful traditional Arabic poem describing the journey and experience of someone setting out on the path of love for God. This rendition is more recent and catchy. For those who speak Arabic, pay attention to the words - they will inspire you!

Yearning

It is said that Yahya ibn Mu’adh wrote to Abu Yazid al-Bistami:

"Here is the one who drunk from the cup of love and will never feel thirst again."

Abu Yazid responded to him:

"I am surprised at the weakness of your spiritual state! Here’s a man who has gulped down all the seas of existence, yet his mouth is agape, wanting more."

- Imam al Qushayri’s "Risalah"

Is a dead person brought back to life by Us, and given light with which to walk among people, comparable to someone trapped in deep darkness who cannot escape?

Al-Ikhlas - Purity of Faith

Shaykh Ad-Dukaly Muhammad 'Alim

The Qur’an is so powerful when we allow ourselves to hear it not only with our ears, but with our hearts. Sometimes the words bring deep emotions, even if the one listening is not able to understand exactly what is begin said.

Again, here is one of the shortest, yet most significant chapters of the Qur’an. Some scholars and sages, when asked to teach theology, will simply recite this chapter. It is titled “Purity of Faith” and is recited in the method known as Qalun. Below is the translation.

Chapter 112: Purity of Faith

Say, ‘He is God the One,

God the Eternal.

He begot no one nor was He begotten.

No one is comparable to Him.’

Qur’an of the Week: the God-Conscious

'I shall ordain My mercy for those who are conscious of God and pay the prescribed alms; who believe in Our Revelations; who follow the Messenger - the unlettered prophet they find described in the Torah that is with them, and in the Gospel - who commands them to do right and forbids them to do wrong, who makes good things lawful to them and bad things unlawful, and relieves them of their burdens, and the iron collars that were on them. So it is those who believe him, honor and help him, and who follow the light which has been sent down with him, who will succeed.'

[7:156-157]

Hadith of the Week: God

The Messenger of God, peace and mercy of God be upon him, said,

"The truest word a poet ever spoke is the statement of Labid: ‘Indeed everything other than God is vain.’

Why could not God, like any good lord, simply pardon, on whatever condition seemed appropriate, those who repented? Why resort to the cruelty of subjecting his Son to a pitiless death?
Peter Abelard, a medieval Christian Theologian, commenting on the doctrine of Original Sin.
