Shaykh Abdul Basit, may God have mercy on him, beautifully reciting the chapter from the Qur’an titled “The Morning Brightness” (Ad-Duha). His recitation is so heartfelt, I encourage just listening to it for a few minutes. The immensity of the Arabic is impossible to convey, but the translation is below:
By the morning brightness and the night when it grows still, your Lord has not forsaken you [Prophet], nor does He hate you, and the future will be better for you than the past; your Lord is sure to give you [so much] that you will be well pleased. Did He not find you an orphan and shelter you, find you lost and guide you, find you in need and satisfy your need?
So do not be harsh with the orphan and do not chide the one who asks for help; talk about the blessings of your Lord.
